I found a website online that completly coresponds with the book that i am reading.  In the book i have, it explains how mice go through changes in the book.  The mice are metaphors for people so that the book can be directed towards younger audiances.  the book is about adjusting to changes in your life that are inevitable. Also, it talkes about making changes in your life for the better witch can be difficult.  The website explains issues that can happen with sudden change or gradual change.  the website explains " Adjustment Disorders".  It relates to the book because it shows how people can become sad and depressed and anxious when it comes to changes. The website also touches on stratagies to train your mind to accept changes.  Thankfully that is what this book is trying to do, help with stratagies to cope to this situation :)

Gene Post

In class we watched a riviting documentery called "Wild Child."  I think it is incredible that this girl has even survived some of the things she has been put through.  For instance, she was tied down to a potty chair for almost 13 years.  She was givin no time to play or even communicate.  I think her parents should be sent to jail for life or given the death penalty.  The reason i think this is because her parents bacically screwed up her entire life by not raising her in a healthy fashion.  For that, their lives should be taken away.  Also, i beileve that Gene should have been left in the hands of those scientists that wanted to help her learn.  I know that her parents thought she was being manipulated but it was the only way she was going to learn.  As for how Gene ended up, i feel terrible.  She shouldnt have been bouncing around to all those foster care centers. for a girl who has had as rough a life as her, they should find a household to love her forever.  I hope one day she can be a part of a functional family.

this is the picture for my book and for post number 1.
" the quicker you let go of old cheese, the sooner you find new cheese."( johnson.60)  I think this shows how people should live their lives.  in the quote, i think johnson is trying to say that if you let go of old ways or old habits, you can soon find new pleasure or light in other things.  i like to think of myself as positive thinker and i try to see the light in everything.  thats why this qote really caught my eye.  im wondering if this book could possibly be used as a motivater to people. also if the author has any other books?
